Miss America 2012 Crowned

Miss Wisconsin Laura Kaeppeler was crowned Miss America 2012 Saturday night in Las Vegas at Planet Hollywood. Miss America pageant was celebrating the 91^st anniversary with a filled to capacity of over 7,000 people. Over 13,000 contestants competed for the coveted 53 spots in the Miss America 2012 pageant. The evening was filled with competition for evening gown, talent, swim suit and questions. Kaeppeler received a $50,000 scholarship plus an exciting 2012 of traveling representing the Miss America organization. Kaeppeler performed an operatic piece for her talent portion and answered her question with poise and confidence. Kaeppeler is only the second Miss Wisconsin to win Miss America.
