A good time was had by all who attended. The Dome was the scene of the 2010 Big Iron Country Living Runway Show. Fashions geared toward countrified, comfy living were the theme for the event and an overflow audience was in attendance. Everything from jeans, to sandals, cowboy boots, floppy hats, going-out clothes and shorts were shown for ages from young teen to senior attire.
The runway was alive with country music in a room filled with cowboy hats and square dancing skirts. Local western flavor retail stores had a chance to show off their best and lure the attendees into their stores. The models walked the runway with bright lights, parading to the beat of the music in a production that lasted approximately one hour. Shorts and tops, short country dresses, boots and jean jackets were among the items shown for the ladies and there were plenty of jeans, shirts and cowboy jean jackets for the men.
In the big hall were trade show booths where a number of retail items could be purchased. A good old fashioned Texas style BBQ with steak and ribs and corn on the cob tempted us all, as it was located next to the event's beer garden. So, next year when the plowing is done, come on down to the best county event around. . . see you there!
