ShareThisThe combination came together Saturday night at the North Dakota State Fairgrounds in Minot with the Black Eyed Peas and Josh Duhamel. Over 16,000 fans were ready to relax and enjoy the moment that that they worked so hard for after fighting a historic flood.
There was no doubt that everyone came out to enjoy the fabulous performance and express their appreciation and love they felt for the Black Eyed Peas and Josh Duhamel. The Love was returned when Fergie spoke to the crowd about her family that she now had in Minot. Will.i.am said they have traveled the world but it felt really good to be with everyone Saturday night in Minot for Labor Day Weekend.
Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas is married to actor Josh Duhamel who is a Minot native. Duhamel said in an earlier interview that it was Fergie’s idea and that without hesitation the Black Eyed Peas were in.
Prior to the benefit concert the Fairgrounds had bands playing from noon until the concert began as well as food concession booths, displays and sales of t-shirts. Also, after the concert the crowd was entertained by a local band until all had left giving a complete finish to a successful evening.
General Manager of Odney, Brekka Kramer worked tirelessly to coordinate such a large undertaking in less than five weeks. Brekka said once the Black Eyed Peas went on stage she was going to try and relax with her family in the stands and just enjoy. Odney is a public relations firm in Minot, ND.
All proceeds raised were being placed in the benefit fund that Duhamel was named honorary chairperson to help victims of the flood. Fund raising efforts will be continuing with raffling in September in Las Vegas the 2006 Factory Five Shelby Cobra Re-Creation Roadster donated by Barrett-Jackson with Josh Duhamel signature on the hood.
